Iain is responsible for undertaking and managing Transworld's integrated development projects including Global City, a joint venture with the Cambodian Government and World City, Abu Dhabi.

Based out of Transworld's KL office, Iain has in recent years played important roles in the development of several Integrated Tourist Resorts and Golf Courses in Malaysia including, Damai Beach Resort, Rebak Island Marina Resort, Saujana Impian, Bukit Kemuning, Tanjung Rhu Integrated International Resort,as well as the Labuan Master Plan and proposed 1st Crossing proposal linking Malaysia to Sumatra.

Iain has also been directly responsible for conceiving and bringing to fruition the US$3.4 Billion development of Chhnang Airport in Cambodia and is presently engaged in multi billion $ projects involving coal mining, tourism and integrated resort development.

Having acquired degrees in Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Building Technology and Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Iain went on to obtain his Phd in 1978 and during the 1970's was responsible for major housing projects and township constructions in Australia and SE Asia, before becoming engaged by major global enterprises such as TCO, ISL and FLUOR and taking responsibility for the construction of a US$1.7 billion open cut coal mine, township, road, railway, and coal loading facility for Mount Isa Mines and a gold mine in Ghana for The Brieley Corp. of New Zealand.

Formerly, SE Asian General Manager of ISL Group, a project and construction management company, from 1991, Iain became part owner of Burchill & Partners (M) Snd Bhd prior to its restructure and change of name to HGT Technology Sdn. Bhd.
